1. ACCEPTANCE AND BINDING EFFECT
By accessing the MailShield Secure Email Gateway portal, registering an account, or explicitly clicking "Accept" during the onboarding process, you enter into a legally binding agreement with CADMUS Cyber Solutions Limited ("CADMUS"). These Terms of Use govern your individual access to and use of our security management interface.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION
2.1 Corporate Entity Requirement
MailShield is a professional B2B cybersecurity service. Use of the service requires a valid, active corporate email address associated with a legally registered business or organization.
2.2 Security Vetting
CADMUS employs advanced domain reputation analysis and IP Quality Score (IPQS) validation during the registration process. We reserve the absolute right to reject, suspend, or terminate any account registration originating from:
- Disposable or "temporary" email providers.
- High-risk or blacklisted IP ranges.
- Domains with poor reputation scores or insufficient DNS history.
2.3 Identity Management
Your account is provisioned via Auth0. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is highly recommended and may be mandated for certain subscription tiers.
3. TENANT ROLES AND AUTHORITY
- Client Administrator: The individual who first registers and verifies a corporate domain is designated as the Admin. This role possesses the authority to manage the tenant workspace, modify security policies, and view billing data.
- Invited Users: The Admin may invite additional users (User or Read Only), subject to the user seat limits defined in the active Subscription Plan.
4. PROHIBITED CONDUCT AND ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree that you shall not, and shall not permit any third party to, do the following:
- Reverse Engineering: Attempt to copy, modify, duplicate, or reverse-engineer any part of the MailShield filtering algorithms, threat detection engines, or UI components.
- Stress Testing: Conduct unauthorized penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or high-volume load testing against the CADMUS infrastructure without prior written consent from our security team.
- Malicious Routing: Intentionally route known malicious payloads through the gateway to test detection rates, unless part of a pre-authorized security audit.
- Illegal Activity: Use the portal to facilitate any action that violates the Kenya Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act (2018) or any other applicable international regulation.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
CADMUS Cyber Solutions Limited retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform, including its software, threat intelligence databases, icons, and documentation. Use of the platform does not grant you any ownership rights.
6. TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION
CADMUS reserves the right to suspend your access to the portal immediately and without notice if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms.
- Your organization fails to settle outstanding service invoices beyond the defined grace period.
- We detect activity originating from your account that threatens the integrity or reputation of our IP ranges.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF KENYA, CADMUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PORTAL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
8. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nairobi.
