When MailShield intercepts suspicious emails, they are held securely in your quarantine queue. While you can preview and handle these messages individually, you may occasionally need to process large batches of emails at once—such as clearing out a wave of obvious spam or releasing several safe newsletters.
MailShield allows you to bulk release or bulk delete quarantined messages directly from your dashboard.
Finding and selecting messages
To manage your held mail, log into your MailShield dashboard and navigate to the Quarantine page.
If you are looking for specific messages to process, use the filters at the top of the page:
- Use the Domain dropdown to only show mail sent to a specific protected domain.
- Use the Search bar to find emails matching a specific sender, subject, or recipient address.
Once you have located the emails you want to manage:
- Click the checkbox on the left side of each email row to select it.
- To select all emails currently visible on the screen, click the master checkbox located in the table header.
Note: The master checkbox only selects the emails on your current page. If you have multiple pages of quarantined mail, you will need to process them page by page.
Performing bulk actions
The moment you select one or more emails, two bulk action buttons will appear at the top right of the page: Release and Delete. These buttons will also display the total number of emails you currently have selected.
Releasing emails Click the Release button to immediately deliver the selected emails. MailShield will release them from the gateway, and they will arrive in the original recipients' inboxes within a few moments. They will be automatically removed from your quarantine view.
Deleting emails Click the Delete button to destroy the selected emails. Because this action permanently purges the messages from the mail gateway and cannot be undone, a confirmation window will appear. Once you confirm the deletion, the emails are permanently erased and can no longer be recovered or delivered.
(Note: Quarantine management features are available on the Standard plan and above. If your quarantine page is locked, you can upgrade your plan via the Subscription & Billing page to restore access).
